SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability at
ARR DIVINE SEAFREX

1. Our Commitment

At ARR Divine Seafrex, sustainability is not an option—it underpins every operation, shipment, and partnership. Every fish, every shipment, every partner reflects our pledge to deliver premium seafood from Sri Lanka while safeguarding marine ecosystems, empowering fishing communities, and upholding full traceability, world class hygiene, and ethical practices across our supply chain.

2. Our Core Principles

• Resource Stewardship & Stock Resilience – We source exclusively from scientifically managed fisheries that ensure fish populations endure for generations, not just seasons.

• Minimal Environmental Footprint – We employ industry leading methods to eliminate destructive gear, minimise by-catch, reduce habitat impact and drive conservation forward.

• Seamless Traceability & Transparency – From vessel to plate: every step is documented, auditable and verifiable—so you always know exactly where your seafood came from.

• Ethical Labour & Community Empowerment – We insist on fair wages, safe working conditions and respectful partnerships with local Sri Lankan communities.

• Continuous Improvement & Accountability – Sustainability is dynamic. We set measurable targets, monitor progress, report openly, and hold ourselves accountable to global benchmarks.

3. Signature Initiatives

3.1 Responsible Harvesting
• All fishing partners operate under the regulatory oversight of the Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources (DFAR), Sri Lanka.
• Gear selection, vessel practices and stock assessment are regularly audited to strictly limit by catch and protect marine habitats.
• New species or fleet partnerships undergo full sustainability risk assessments before approval.

3.2 End to End Traceability & Cold Chain Control
• Each shipment is labelled with vessel ID, catch date, species, processing batch, export lot and destination port — full “sea to table” transparency.
• Our processing facility conforms to the highest export grade hygiene, temperature control and packaging standards demanded by EU importers.
• We maintain audited documentation that allows rapid response to buyer audits, regulatory inspections or product inquiries.

3.3 Resource Efficiency & Environmental Excellence
• Advanced refrigeration and energy management systems, plus optimised fleets/routes, minimise fuel use and emissions.
• Waste streams are converted: fish by-products are re designated or processed rather than discarded.
• Packaging designed for recyclability and reuse wherever possible.
3.4 Empowering Communities & Ethical Partnership

• Strict ethical labour standards: safe workplaces, ongoing training, and fair remuneration.
• Collaborates with Sri Lankan fishing communities, supporting infrastructure, education, and sustainable livelihoods.
